Hey Everyone,
So I been meaning to blog before the new week started, but this past weekend I was sick and I couldn't even focus. I even missed my Saturday class. I take classes Monday through Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings. And when I miss a class it’s kind of tough because I have to make up the hours of the day I missed. Since I take evening classes I have to make them up during the day which is very hard for me to do.
Ok so on to what I’ve learned so far. I did my first razor cut. For those who don’t know a razor cut is a haircut done with a razor it leaves a nice texture and body to the hair. However it doesn't work well on all hair types. People with curly hair should not get a razor cut because since the hair is cut on an angle it tends to make the hair look unhealthy and damaged. People with medium density hair are best for this type of hair cut because it’s not too fine and not too thick. I’ve notice I like to cut hair I find it fun and I enjoy it a lot.
I did the razor cut on my manikin Sam. I think it came out ok we just did a basic cut didn’t do any style yet and I blow dried it after the cut.
You can kind of see it leaves a texture to the ends of the hair.
Here is the side view.
And here is the back view.
Another style I learned is a doobie wrap. the concept seems easy enough you basically wrap the hair around the head. You can do this offer you do a roller set or blow dry your hair straight and it supposed to make it extra straight and make the blow dry last longer. It was kind of tough to do but I got the hang of it. The hardest part is to keep the middle of the head from tangling up. I did the doobie on my manikin Dionne.
That swirl in the middle of the head is the hardest part to maneuver. once you got that down the rest of the wrap is easy.
Till next time guys. Buy!
